April 29-30, 2011 – Ken Gire – The Divine Embrace

Cloud Walk partnered with The Vine Community Church, in Cumming, Georgia, to host author and speaker Ken Gire on April 29 – 30, 2011.  We were honored to have Ken join our community in north Georgia and share his insights and experiences living life with God as a divine embrace.

Ken is the author of more than a dozen books and has won two Gold Medallion awards and two C.S. Lewis Honor Book awards. His four-book “Moments with the Savior” series has sold more than 250,000 copies. A full-time writer and speaker, Ken has been involved in the ministries of Young Life and Insight for Living. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Judy, have four children and two grandchildren and make their home in Monument, Colorado.  In addition to the Moments with the Savior series, other titles by Ken include The Divine Embrace, Windows of the Soul, The Work of His Hands, and the Reflective Life series.

Reflective Living, a non-profit ministry, is entirely devoted to helping people learn how to slow down and live more reflective lives so that their life’s experiences can be felt more deeply, especially in moments with God and other people. The Reflective Living website says, “This, we believe, is the first step toward fulfilling the Great Commandment. Before we can passionately love God and other people, we first have to experience them through what we see in them, what we hear from them, and how we are touched by them.”

Ken graduated from Texas Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Judy, live in Monument, Colorado. They have four grown children and are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren.
